Project 1, Part 3: Website Redesign Site Map with Page Descriptions & Wireframe Sketches

Matt Campbell's Wire FrameMatt Campbell's Site Map

In addition to my Wire Frame and Site Map, the redesigned website includes a Product, About Us, testimonials, and Contact Page. As I’m sticking to “simple as best”; there are numerous products that are implied in my redesigned website. The About Page navigation consists of a graphic icon which represents the various mechanisms that my redesign website offers to the consumer. This particular page will be simple in terms of the company’s history and having a picture of the CEO and other employees. Secondly, this page will have additional navigation on each employee that will achieve a full over view bio to their personal LinkedIn, WordPress, etc. website. The Testimonials page will be on a comment and rating basis; based on previous and current customer experience. Lastly, in terms of various products that are sold to meet every day consumer needs; there is a main corporate facility located in the United States and Canada which accompanies customer service as well. As a result, this forms most of the content for the Contact page; in addition, billing and support is added to accomplish everyone’s needs.

  1. I’m not seeing your images for some reason… Can you check into them?

Also, I was expecting some sort of write-up to accompany this part of the project… Of course, it could be in the images, but I can’t tell right now.

    • Ah, weird… I can see them now that I’ve commented!

Ok, yeah, looking good so far… The site map needs more description about each page — you can do it directly in the Blog post. For instance, what do the gears mean on th “About Us” page?

  2. I like what you’ve done with the wireframes, but you went a little too far. It’s best to create two or more wireframe versions for the homepage and two or more for a subpage. Then, the client has something to choose from. In this case, it’s not a big deal — go with what you have. For the next project, I’d like to see some variation on the theme so that there’s something to choose from.
